Prospect - Mr. Jan M. Swiecicki, age 84, of 21 Spruce drive, died of Congestive Heart Failure on Tuesday March 16,2010 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Krystyna (Rudnicka) Swiecicki.
Mr. Swiecicki was born in Poland on March 25,1925. He served in the Polish Underground Army under British command during World War II. After the Warsaw Capitulation he was sent to Germany as a Prisoner of War. After the war was over he moved to England and later to Waterbury, Ct. He worked as a mechanical engineer at T. Sendzimer Inc. and retired from Waterbury Farrell. Mr. Swiecicki enjoyed playing the organ and piano. He was a comunicant of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Prospect.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday March 22,2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church 4 Union City Rd. Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home 26 Waterbury Rd. Route 69 Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
