Breast Cancer Awareness Month
2016-10-27
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In an effort to broaden awareness, during the month of October, every member of our funeral home family will be wearing a pink tie or scarf during all wake and funeral services, as well as pink pins. Complimentary pink pins are available in the Funeral Home foyer. We encourage you to take one and wear it to help spread awareness as one in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, according to the Susan G. Komen website. For helpful information on breast cancer as well as symptoms and statistics, please visit http://ww5.komen.org. To assist in the fight against Breast Cancer we will be donating to Susan G. Komen.

His wife, Melissa Thurston is a Southington native and together they own and operate the Rowe Funeral Home in Litchfield, where they currently reside with their one year old daughter, Morgan. James A. Mengacci, a licensed funeral director and embalmer for over 34 years, and the former owner of the Fitzgerald-Zembruski-Mengacci Funeral Homes, is a lifelong resident of Naugatuck and an active member of the local community. Jim is the son of Connie (Gallucci) Mengacci of Naugatuck and the late Adam T. Mengacci. Jim is the proud father of James A.Mengacci, Jr., and Michael R. Mengacci both of Naugatuck.
