Betty and family, I am the daughter of Gene's cousin, Florence (Phillips) Bolcer. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy on the passing of Gene on behalf of my mother and our family. Like Gene, I also have developed a passion for our family history and have been given many of his notes. Please know that his work is being carried on to another generation and I hope to be a worthy steward of his work. With deepest condolences, The Bolcer Family

Dear Betty and Family, So sorry to learn of the passing of your drear husband Gene. Nancy and I send our condolences to you at this difficult time. We regret that medical issues will keep us from attending Gene’s funeral Mass on Friday. We shall however make arrangements to have him remembered at all weekend Masses at our Parish Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield. My memories of Gene, each pleasant, reach back many decades. I admired his artistic talent evident from an early age. Our families celebrated many happy milestones together. He was pleased to share stories of international travels which you experienced together. He was justifiably proud of his family and took a scholarly interest in researching his family tree. I now pray that you will all find comfort in his happy memory. Love, Cousin Bob Phillips
