William J. "Bill"  Warner
Middlebury, CT - William J. Warner, 52, the husband of Stefanie (Capozziello) Warner, and father of William Travis Warner, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Bill was born on August 2, 1964 in Waterbury, CT a son of Margaret P. (Sabot) Warner of Southbury, and the late James C. Warner. Bill graduated from Nonnewaug High School and earned an Associates Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from Lincoln College and was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Bill was the Head Fleet Mechanic at Tri-State Industrial Maintenance in Oxford. Bill could repair anything and was fondly referred to as “MacGyver”. He loved all things mechanical and could often be found in his garage working on his ‘66 Mustang and other “projects”. He loved animals and enjoyed spending time with his five dogs. He was proud to be an organ donor and was able to help up to 50 people with his donation to the New England Donor Bank. Bill was most proud of Travis and the man he has become.

Bill is also survived by his brothers, James and wife Lori Warner of Iowa and Brian and wife Marge of Woodbury; his sister, Patricia Sandulli and husband Dan of Thomaston; his godsons, Gregory and Nicholas Warner; his niece and nephew, Keri and Matthew Sandulli and great niece Hailey Gelinas; his father and mother in law, John and Fern Capozziello; his brothers and sisters in law, John and Mimi Capozziello, Eric and Nancy Capozziello and Joseph and Heather Capozziello; his nieces and nephews, Tiffani, John and his wife Destiny, Ryan, Megan, Tyler, Breanna, Wyatt and Anya and his great nieces, Arianna and Ava, and Travis’s girlfriend, Emily McCormack. In addition to his father, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Warner.

Calling hours are Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2-4pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers, to honor Bill’s memory, contributions can be made to Poodle Rescue Connecticut, Inc., P.O. Box 188, Naugatuck, CT 06770.
