Obituary for Norman A. Bouffard

Norman Andrew Bouffard, 90, of Plymouth, Connecticut and formerly of Seminole, Florida, died October 9, 2022 at VITAS in St. Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury, Connecticut. He was the husband of Dolores (Terra) Marques Bouffard.
Mr. Bouffard was born in Danbury, Connecticut. He was the son of the late Andrew Bouffard and the late Lucienne Toussaint Bouffard. Norman graduated from Wilby High School in 1950 and was a four year veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Korean War on the USS LST 1041. After his discharge from the Navy he apprenticed as a machinist and began working at Waterbury Farrel Foundry. He retired from Jones and Lampson in Cheshire (formerly Textron) in 1986 and moved to Florida with his wife, Dolores. He began working at Bauder Elementary as a plant operator and later retired in 1997 from the Pinellas County School System, Seminole, Florida. He is a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, Thomaston, Connecticut, and an honorary member of the Portuguese-American Suncoast Association in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Bouffard, three sons; Thomas Bouffard (Paula) of Leesburg, Virginia, Gary Bouffard (Sharon) of Oakville, Connecticut and Daniel Bouffard (Anissa) of Berlin, Connecticut and one daughter, Lori Modenese (Joseph) of Waterbury; stepson, Julio P. Marques, Jr. (Jackie), No. Myrtle Beach, SC, stepdaughter, Mary Alice Sullivan (Thomas), Naugatuck; two sisters, Claudette Baroncini of Florida and Lorrette Parrillo (Carl) of Las Vegas, Nevada; twelve grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; two nephews, two nieces, several great nephews and nieces and two aunts.
There are no calling hours and services will be private.
