Middlebury, CT Thomas W. Carnaroli, 78, husband of Donna L. (Voegeli) Carnaroli, died April 15, 2022 at Waterbury Hospital from a head injury suffered in a fall at home.
Tom was born June 4, 1943 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Salvatore and Anita P. Carnaroli. He attended Tinker Elementary School in Town Plot and Crosby High School in Waterbury. He worked alongside his wife and her family as a machinist at Oxford General Industries, Inc. in Prospect for 27 years, retiring in 2006.
Tom was super-smart, funny, and a creative thinker who loved to surprise you. He had many passions, hobbies, interests, and friends. Tom and Donna were avid travelers and had countless adventures in their motorhome seeing the United States. At 51, Tom earned his private pilot license and enjoyed hanging out with his fellow aviators at Oxford Airport. Tom loved cars, and as a teenager was legendary for racing his primer black 55 Chevy coupe. Later, Tom became a devoted Harley Davidson rider and was a proud member of the Hat City Riders Motorcycle Club and the Moose Club. Tom's happiest times were when he was celebrating the holidays with his devoted family.
In addition to Donna, his loving wife of 43 years, Tom is survived by his brother, John Paul Carnaroli of Middlebury, CT; his daughters, Kristin Carnaroli Rogozinski of Cromwell, CT, Karin Carnaroli Garfin of New York, NY and Melissa Pronovost and her husband, Michael Pronovost of Terryville, CT; his sons, Christopher C. Dionne and Keith R. Carnaroli both of Naugatuck, CT; his grandchildren, Athena Caesura of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Max Garfin and Alex Garfin both of New York, NY, Keith L. Carnaroli of Frankfurt, KY, Colby Pronovost and Maddie Pronovost both of Terryville, CT.
All services will be private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
