Middlebury, CT Jacqueline E. Capobianco, 83, loving wife of Joseph L. Capobianco, died peacefully July 24, 2022 at Middlebury Convalescent Home.

Jackie was born November 12, 1938 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Carey) Sullivan. She worked her entire career as a dedicated and caring certified nursing assistant. She was a faithful parishioner of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for 18 years. Jackie was proud of the fact that she had the opportunity to travel to Rome and sing with the choir for Pope John Paul II. Jackie enjoyed cooking and baking, especially for her family and friends.

In addition to Joe, her loving husband of 67 years, Jackie is survived by her children, Joseph Capobianco (Cherie), Susan Angal (Alexander, III) and Michael Capobianco (Chris); her grandchildren, Alexander IV, Michael, Jackie, Jessica and Mikayla; her great grandchildren, Alexander V, Taylor, Madison, Audrey, Averi, Emma, Olivia and Greyson (who is expected in December 2022); 1 great great grandson, Ashton and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jackie was predeceased by her son, Chuckie Capobianco, her daughter, Katherine Elizabeth Capobianco, her brother, Nicholas Sullivan and her sister, Geraldine Sullivan.
Jackie’s family would like to thank the staff at Middlebury Convalescent Home for their exceptional care and also thank Lynn and Suzie Donovan, Jane Scatena and Mary Walsh for their lifelong love and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10:00am at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main Street, Waterbury. Everyone attending is kindly ask to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Jackie’s memory, donations are requested to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd S, #4B, Southington, CT 06489.
