Obituary for Thomas E. Honyotski Jr.
NAUGATUCK - Thomas E. Honyotski, Jr., 53, died peacefully at home on January 22, 2021.
Tom was born on December 23, 1967 in Waterbury, CT a son of Thomas E. Honyotski, Sr. and the late Nancy (Randall) Honyotski and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident.
Tom attended local schools and graduated from Kaynor Tech in 1986. In 1988 Tom joined the Navy and went to boot camp in San Diego, CA and then was assigned to duty aboard the U.S.S. Philippine Sea (CG58) where he served as a Plank Owner.
Tom is survived by his father and step mother, Thomas Honyotksi, Sr. and Pamela Honyotski of Naugatuck, his brothers, Michael and his wife, Denise Honyotski of Wallingford and Brian and his wife, Susan Honyotski of Greenwich; his sister, Elizabeth and her husband, James Holloway of Waterbury; his daughter, Kaleigh Honyotski of Naugatuck and 3 loving nieces, Nanci, Robyn and Harper.
Walk through calling hours will be Thursday from 6-8pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Veterans Council will assemble Thursday at 7:45pm at the funeral home. Everyone attending is required to wear a facial covering and to adhere to social distancing guidelines. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers and to honor Tom’s memory, donations can be made to American Legion Post 17, P.O. Box 226, Naugatuck, CT 06770
