Lawrence E. "Larry" Schwartz
1942 - 2020


Naugatuck, CT Lawrence E. Schwartz, 77, died August 2, 2020 at his home.

Larry was born on September 20, 1942 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Howard and Sadie (Cagno) Schwartz and was a lifelong Naugatuck resident. Larry proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and he retired from the chemical division of Uniroyal, Inc.

Larry is survived by his son, Ben Schwartz and his wife, Bernadette; his grandchildren, Kaia, Caden and Colby Schwartz and Cameron Giusto; his brother, Mark Schwartz and his wife, Chris; his sister, Nancy Schwartz; his sister in law, Shirley Schwartz and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his daughter, Erica A. Schwartz and his brothers, Howard Schwartz and Richard Schwartz.

There are no services and no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Dear Schwartz family, very sorry to find out about Larry’s passing. My condolences to you all. I am Carman DeSocios sister. He worked with Larry at Uniroyal almost 10 years ago. He would mention Larry once in a while. Sincerely Gerakdine

So very sorry to learn of Larry’s passing. I will always remember his party jokes, whiffle ball games and coaching all the neighborhood kids. Please accept my sincere condolences.

I was very sorry to learn that Larry passed. I worked for him for many years and he was always a great boss, he was always supportive of those who worked for him. He was more than just a boss he was a friend. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

I am very saddened at hearing of Larry's passing. I grew up with Larry starting with Kindergarten at Central Avenue School. We were close all thru school. Upon our graduation from High School we all went our way to find our place in this Big World. I have Many Fond Memories of Larry and the fun things that we did over our school years. After High School we all went our way to find our place in this big world. I have many fond memories of Larry and the good times we had.
