PATRICIA V. TOPAZIO
1937 - 2020
Waterbury, CT Patricia V. Topazio, 83, died peacefully on May 2, 2020 after a short illness at the Cheshire House in Waterbury.
Patricia was born January 24, 1937 in Waterbury, CT daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella (Lagownik) Topazio. She was employed for many years as an executive secretary at Chase Brass and Copper, Scovill Manufacturing, American Brass and Uniroyal. She also served in the Foreign Service, and was stationed in Japan. Upon her return, she was recruited by Waterbury Mayor George Harlamon, to work as his administrative assistant; with her last career position being the administrative assistant to the President of Robinson Insurance, Company. Patricia enjoyed singing and was actively involved in various glee clubs and chorus groups.
She leaves two brothers, Donald and his wife, Carol Topazio and Lawrence and his wife, Maureen Topazio; nephew Chris and his wife, Danielle Topazio and niece, Candi and her husband, Gregg Sylvester; great nieces and nephews, Paige, Cody, Nicholas, Michael, Marc, Jr. and his wife, Melissa and their son, Grey Topazio, Michelle and Justin Banisaied and her friends include Kay and John Jo, Josephine and Jo. Patricia was predeceased by her sister, Sr. Barbara Topazio CND; her hephew, Marc, Sr., and her sister in law, Judith Topazio.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Cheshire House, especially Pat’s great niece Paige, for all the wonderful care that Pat received while in their care.
Services are private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
