Naugatuck, CT Eleanor R. Tacinelli, 94, widow of Michael Tacinelli, died peacefully on June 9, 2021 at the Lutheran Home of Southbury.
Eleanor was born January 29, 1927 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (Plank) Paige and had lived in Naugatuck for over 28 years. Eleanor enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, bird watching, Frank Sinatra, desserts, dancing, and most especially her grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her daughter and son in law, Janice E. and Gary Saam; her son and daughter in law, Michael G. and Giuseppina Tacinelli; her grandchildren, Dr. Gregory M. Saam (Cristina), Carl H. Saam, Pharm.D, Angela M. Tacinelli (Michael Tuscano), Cristina L. Tacinelli and Michael E. Tacinelli.
Eleanor is predeceased by her sisters Evelyn Nardelli (Gaetano) and Shirley Nardelli (Frank).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 14, 2021 at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is kindly asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 2324 East Main Street, Waterbury. There are no calling hours and arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
