Shari Ann (Cowan) Senese
1958 - 2019
Naugatuck, CT Shari Ann (Cowan) Senese, 60, wife of Edward L. Senese, died peacefully on September 7, 2019 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by loving family and friends. There is no doubt that the music in heaven is sweeter with the sound of Shari’s wonderful voice.
Shari was born on November 7, 1958 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Robert and Marcella (Mariotti) Cowan and lived in Naugatuck all of her life. Shari graduated from Naugatuck High School and earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Southern Connecticut State College. She utilized her formidable talent as a training officer in a variety of banking institutions. She also lent her skills to any number of charitable organizations, bringing her special brand of humor.
In addition to Ed, her husband of 33 years, Shari is survived by her sister, Tammi Dumonski and her husband, David Dumonski and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her parents, Shari was predeceased by her brother, Gary Cowan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11:00am at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Everyone attending is asked to please meet directly at church. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. In lieu of flowers and to honor Shari’s memory, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
