1940 - 2019
Naugatuck, CT MaryAnn Jean (Witkoski) Mitchell, 78, died peacefully on April 18, 2019.
MaryAnn was born on September 4, 1940 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Henry and Winifred (Krzykowski) Witkoski and lived all of her life in Naugatuck. She worked at Glendale Center, Naugatuck Glass and Peter Paul and she enjoyed playing cards, especially setback, trips to the casino and she was a loyal Elvis Presley fan. MaryAnn was a former parishioner of St. Hedwig’s Church and most of all she loved taking care of her grandkids and passing out big long hugs.
MaryAnn is survived by her sons, Glen Mitchell (Kristina) and Michael Mitchell (Mary); her daughters, Pamela Morin (Raymond) and Kimberly Mitchell; her ten grandchildren; her sister, Theodora “Teddy” Matan (Frank) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, MaryAnn was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kacey Rose Mitchell, her brothers, Eugene Witkoski and Henry “Hank” Witkoski, Sr. and her sisters, Winifred “Babe” Howe and Clair Mihalko.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5-8pm with a service at 7:30pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. Burial will be private.
