Naugatuck, CT William V. Litke, 70, died March 3, 2019 at his home.
Bill was born on February 9, 1949 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Harold and Margaret “Peggy” (De Vico) Litke. Bill graduated in 1967 from Naugatuck High School where he excelled in baseball and basketball, attended Boys State and served as Class President. He attended Boston University, UConn and Arizona State University. Bill played baseball for the Post 17 American Legion team and coached NJFL football. He was an avid reader, UConn and Boston sports team fan and he especially loved Notre Dame Football.
Bill is survived by his brothers, Stephen Litke and his wife, Nancy and Robert Litke; his sister, Penny Litke; his nephew, Jeffrey Litke and his partner, Drew Cosenza, his niece, Tracy Roberts; his great nieces, Alyssa and Christina Roberts and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Litke.
Calling hours and a Celebration of Bill’s Life will be Saturday from 3:00 to 5:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
