Naugatuck, CT Robert William Kennedy, 88, of Naugatuck, passed away on October 15, 2018.

Survived by his loving wife Alice of 62 years, his five children Maureen Johnson,
Robert (Bill) Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Michael Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy, eleven
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased
by son John Kennedy, three brothers, and four sisters.

Robert was born on June 22, 1930 in Waterbury, CT. He graduated from Leavenworth
High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of St. Francis Church of Naugatuck.
He was a long time coach of the Naugatuck Babe Ruth league, always ready to lend a
helping hand wherever needed, took most of his joy spending time with his
grandchildren, being involved in their activities and athletics, soaking up the sun, eating
P&P sandwiches, and loving his loyal furry friend, Moit.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is kindly asked to go directly to church. Calling hours are Friday from 5-8pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue. Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council will assemble Friday at 7:15pm at the funeral home.
