David L. Buckmiller
Loving husband, son and brother

Naugatuck – David L. Buckmiller, 44, husband of Julie Steiner Buckmiller, passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Waterbury Hospital after cardiac arrest.

David was born on September 25, 1973 in Waterbury, CT, son of Rosanne Bailly Buckmiller Daniels and Wayne P. Buckmiller Sr. David graduated from Salem School, Hillside Middle School, and Naugatuck High School, Class of 1991, where he was the captain of the 1991 All NVL and All-State swim team and also earned all NVL honors in tennis. David also graduated from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL, where he earned a degree in mortuary science.

David had an infectious smile that brightened a room when he walked in. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, which led him to join his family business as a funeral director. His biggest pride and joy was restoring his 1970 Pontiac GTO convertible. He was an avid fisherman, NASCAR enthusiast, and loving dog and cat dad to Tess and Zoey.

In addition to his wife and his parents, David is survived by his stepfather, Dr. Darrel Daniels and his “step-mommy”, Nancy (Bolton) Buckmiller; his brother, Wayne P. Buckmiller Jr. and his wife, Debbie of New Britain, CT, his brother-in-law, Karl C. Steiner of Waterbury, CT, and his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
