Condolence: My brother was a very brave man. Even though he endured terrible illnesses in his lifetime, he always managed a smile. The last year of his life was filled w/more hardship than one should endure. Cancer is a terrible disease & my brother was riddled w/it. It wouldn't leave him him be. Just when it seemed he was out of the woods, it reared its' ugly head in another part of his body. Not being able to eat the last year of his life or swallow would depress the average person, however, my brother accepted it & made the best of it. He had so many friends & never held a grudge..I never heard him use a curse word. He would forgive "people" who took gross advantage of him when most humans would never be able to forgive acts of deceit. I was glad to be able to spend his last year w/him & be w/him through some tough ordeals. I know in my heart he is with God, Jesus, my mom & dad & his beloved grandmother & is finally @peace. Love, Cheryl

Condolence: I would like to leave my condolence to the family of Mr. Deptula. This is truly a sad time. May the God of comfort bring comfort to your family. He made promises in his word the Bible, which can be of comfort to you. He promises to remove the causes of suffering and to put an end to death. (Revelation 21:4). The true God promises to bring back to life our dead loved ones. (John 5:28-30). May the Holy Scriptures be of comfort to you.

Condolence: I'm sorry I can't be there on Friday to celebrate my cousin Bob's life but I will be thinking of him on that day and remembering him in my own way. My sympathies to Rob, Michelle, Alan, Cheryl and their families, as well as Bob's extended family of loved ones, buddies and friends. There are Beatles lyrics that say... " In the end the love we take is equal to the love we make" and I think that saying holds true about Bob. He was a blessing to many and, in turn, was blessed himself during his illness with the thoughts and prayers of all who cared about him , with the devoted efforts of his sister Cheryl, and with the comforting presence of his children who never left his side during his final days. Growing up, Bob had the heartfelt love of his mother Estelle, his grandmother Julia and my own mother, his Aunt Helen and I am certain that when he left this world on January 2nd, all three of those women were waiting on the other side for him with open arms to welcome him home. My cousin Bob was an original. He will be missed.

Condolence: Sorry to learn of the passing of my old friend, Bob, who I and many others called "Dup" ! He always had a smile and a story to tell when I use to run into him at the HoJo's in Waterbury now known as the Brass House. I last talked to him at the St. Michael's Church fair last year, and was sad to see him in such poor health. My condolences and sympathy to his family. Rest in peace, my friend!

Condolence: My condolences to Bob's family. Such a kind and giving man who was able to somehow see the good in everyone I never heard him talk against a soul. He was so stand up. I am so glad that last month Bob and I went to see Donny Peluso sing all his favorite Frank Sinatra and other standard songs that he loved so much. He wasn't feeling well but he insisted he wanted to tough it out and hear Donny sing.He gave Donny a shirt with the photo of Sinatra's Birthday Tribute. So generous of him. What a trouper Bob was until the end. At the restaurant he was so well received by all the other fans and friends of Donny. In the old days Bob would get on the mike and sing Volare, this time unfortunately he had to sit that one out. His passion and love for music was evident and every chance he got he would somehow talk about Sinatra, the Beatles etc. So, rest in peace my friend and remember "The Best is Yet to Come". Thanks for all the one- liners and the memories. You will be missed.
