Michael J.  Reilly
Naugatuck, CT-Michael Joseph Reilly, 76, passed away 6 Sept. 2017 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on 4 Nov 1940 in Derby, CT a son of the late Joseph and Matilda (Gagnon) Reilly. Mike was the husband of Freda Reilly (nee Cain) from 1965-1979. He was a graduate of Kaynor Tech in Waterbury. He served in the US Army out of Fort Dix New Jersey and was discharged with the rank of E-4. He was the Supervisor of Shipping and Receiving at several Waterbury factories, Better Formed Metals, Plastic Guide, and Waterbury Buckle for over 30 years.

He was most fond of his visits to the Brass House Diner where he ate and entertained the staff for many years. The family will be dining there, following the burial, in his memory.

He is survived by his sisters, Diane Raimo and Marie (O'Reilly); his brother Ralph Raimo; his sons David and Darryl Thompson; his daughters, Donna Crowningshield and Michelle Springer; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Ian, Sean, Jimmy, Angel, Venus, Krystal, Nickolle, Maryanne, Stephanie; and his great grandchildren, Amanda, Max, Peter, Paige, Joshua, Lilly, Gianna, Lilliana and Bentlee. In addition to his parents Mike is predeceased by Freda Reilly and his sons, Dennis and Danny Thompson.

In lieu of flowers please donate in his memory to your local orphanage which was one of Michael's dearest charities.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 12 noon in Grove Cemetery, 62 Cross Street, Naugatuck, CT. Calling hours will be from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT.
