Condolence From: Cathleen Gilroy/Jenkins
Condolence: Mrs. Burns was my teacher in 5th grade at Central Avenue, 1971. When my son was in 5th grade in 1992, I wrote a letter to Mrs. Burns to thank her for the wonderful memories of being in her class. Having moved many times during my school years, I had many teachers to compare. Mrs. Burns was one of my very favorites. She taught me many life and coping lessons in my year with her. I'm thrilled that she lived to be 100. Imagine all the changes she saw in her lifetime!!!
I'm grateful to have known her, to have passed some of those lessons she taught me to my own children who I know have already passed them to my grandchildren. She has left a legacy.

Much love Mrs. Burns!
