Obituary for James W. "Jim" McPadden

James W. "Jim"  McPadden
NAUGATUCK, CT James W. McPadden, 57, husband of Kathleen A. (Mancini) McPadden, died peacefully Friday evening at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Jim was born on September 22, 1957 in Stamford, CT, a son of the late Hugh and Margot (Kristiansen) McPadden. Jim was a former resident of Watertown, having graduated from Watertown High School, and he had lived in Naugatuck for the past 15 years. Jim worked as a re-work specialist at Sikorsky for the past 14 years and was a proud United States Navy Veteran.

In addition to his wife Kathy, Jim is survived by his brother and sister in law, Michael and Bella McPadden, his sister and brother in law, Maureen and Sherman Green, his mother in law, Anne Marie Mancini, his sisters and brothers in law, Maryann and Ed Cacace and Lori and Dennis Clark, his nieces and nephews, Marnie Keller, Mandie Kirschbaum, Rachel Galzerano, Jennifer Arnold, Jason Cacace, Michael Clark, Ryan Clark and Molly Clark, and his great nieces, Alysha Cacace and Alexia Cacace, and his great nephews, Everett Keller, Ben Galzerano and Sam Galzerano.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at 10:00am at the United Methodist Church of Watertown, 305 Main Street, Watertown, with Pastor Steven Kim officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Tuesday, January 6, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck. To honor Jim’s memory, contributions may be made to Jane Doe No More, 203 Church Street, Rear; Naugatuck, CT 06770 or to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Greater Waterbury (ACSRFLGW), c/o Sandy MacDonald, 41 Merry Street, Waterbury, CT 06706.
