Obituary for Edward Anthony Day

Delray Beach, Fl. - Edward A. Day, 85, of 5160 Las Verdes Circle, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Delray Medical Center. He was the husband of Jeanne (Normand) Day.

Mr. Day was born on October 13, 1928, in Naugatuck, the son of the late John and Mary (Dehefska) Dziengielewski. He retired from Uniroyal Chemical in Naugatuck, after over 40 years of service.

Mr. Day is survived by a daughter, Christine Perriello and her husband, Vincent, of Rolling Hills, Ky., and two sons, Daniel Day of Terryville, and David Day and his wife, Jennie of Naugatuck. He will also be missed by four grand children and several great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Dennis Day of Stamford.

The funeral for Mr. Day will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
