MY WIFE ROSE AND I WERE DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR OF JOE'S PASSING. I HAVE KNOWN JOE FOR OVER FORTY YEARS. WE FIRST MET WHEN I WORKED AT SEARS IN WATERBURY AND JOE WAS WITH ALLSTATE. WE SOON BECAME FRIENDS. I NEVER MET ANYONE THAT WAS SO EASY TO LIKE. HE MADE EVERYONE AROUND HIM A LITTLE HAPPIER THAN THEY WERE. HE WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR THE WAY HE GAVE OF HIMSELF AS THE PATRIARCH OF HIS EXTENDED FAMILY, HIS SERVICE TO HIS COUNTRY AND HIS COMMUNITY. WE WILL MISS HIM VERY MUCH. MAY HE REST IN PEACE IN THE ARMS OF THE LORD.
