Condolences

Condolence From: Robert Crowley
Condolence: Joanne and family
It is with a very heart to hear the news of Rays passing. I have many fond memories of the story telling from our adult cousins and the trips to Worcester and Naugatuck. I was fortunate to have Ray as my Godfather which always involved a book every Christmas from him under the tree. Oh how Mom loved her cousin Raymond and you Joanne along with the close cousin relationship they all shared.
Now he is at peace and with Mom.
God Bless you all.
Thoughts and prayers to the entire Dowling family.

Condolence: Dear Joanne,
My grandmother Helen (Daly) Meyer was so proud of all in the Daly/Dowling Family, and Ray was a Special person who was a "true gentleman" as mentioned by others. He leaves an enviable legacy for his children, and his legacy as a pillar in the Naugatuck Community. I'm sure my mother Janet (Meyer) Crowley welcomed Ray with open arms in Heaven! They had many good times when Ray visited Worcester, MA!

Peace to you and your Family,

Marilyn & John Crowley

Condolence: SORRY TO READ ABOUT RAY; HE AND I WERE BOTH AT TCC IN 1951, ALONG WITH JIM VANASS, FRAN SCHAEFER, DON GALLUCCI, RIGER FLOYD ETC. FROM NAUGATUCK. AT A YOUNG AGE YOU COULD SEE HE HAD WHAT IT TAKES TO DO WELL AS A FAMILY MAN AND IN THE NAUGY VALLEY. I WILL PRAY FOR HIM AND YOUR FAMILY AT MASS THIS SUNDAY. IT WAS MY PLEASURE TO KNOW HIM....FRED COUGHLAN

Condolence: Dear Joanne and family,
I am so sorry to hear about your husband and father. I only met him a couple of times at your home when I and the rest of the church choir sang Christmas carols. He was very open and made us feel at home. Your are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Condolence: I was the Superintendent of Schools in Region 16 (Prospect and Beacon Falls) and I worked closely with Ray as our Beacon Falls' students attended Naugatuck High School. Ray was helpful to me as Region 16 was my first superintendency. He made certain our students were treated like Naugatuck students were. We often met at CAPSS meetings and conferences. Ray was well respected by all of us in the field. It was always a pleasure talking to him. I remember his daughter playing tennis against my daughter in the NVL.

Condolence: Ray was a kind and beautiful person. I always felt the young people in Naugatuck were so fortunate to have him to lead and care about them even as a teen in the 60's. I have never forgotten what an example he was.
