Obituary for Margaret A. Hallman

Margaret A. Hallman
MARGARET A. HALLMAN

Naugatuck, CT Margaret A. (Anderson) Hallman, 72, the wife of Jesse Hallman, died peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Glendale Center surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on May 14, 1944 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late George T. and Margaret (Lannon) Anderson and had lived in Naugatuck most of her life.

No matter how you knew Margaret, whether she was family, a friend, a co-worker, or a patient, one thing was for sure, she left a lasting impression with her sarcasm, quick wit, and feisty personality. However, those who knew her were not fooled by that tough, fiery exterior because at the very same time she was the most caring, compassionate, loving woman you would ever cross paths with. If she wasn’t baking with her grandchildren, sitting at the campfire or giving advice over a cup of tea, she was helping plan a big picnic or BBQ and inviting the masses. Margaret really loved to spend time with her family and close friends whenever possible

Margaret is survived by her son, James R. Doty, Jr., and his wife Michelle Doty; her daughter, Louise Murray; her four brothers, Jim Anderson and his wife Libby of Rockmart, GA, Ray Anderson, Sr. and his wife Betty of Watertown, CT, Tom Anderson and his wife Kathy of Broadway, NC, George Anderson, Jr. and his wife Ann of Dixon, MO; two sisters, Marie Nardello of Cape Haze, FL and Virginia Baukus and her husband Stanley of Yarmouthport, MA; her grandchildren, Jennifer Spencer and her husband Robert Spencer, Jr. and their children, Kai Spencer and Karissa Spencer, with whom she lived; David Doty, Jason Doty, John Doty and James Mathes; 10 greatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her daughter, Joyce Doty; her grandson, Juston Doty and her sister, Carol J. Derwin.
