Obituary for Helen "Buzz" Bazarian
Waterbury, CT Helen “Buzz” Bazarian, 92, died peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck.
Helen was born on May 29, 1924 in Waterbury, CT a daughter of the late Minas and Marie (Krekorian) Bazarian and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. Helen is a graduate of Crosby High School and the University of Connecticut. Helen retired from the Scovill Manufacturing Company where she worked as an administrative secretary. Helen loved her family and for many years was a caregiver to her father. She traveled extensively throughout the world and she was a faithful member and volunteer at the First Congregational Church of Waterbury.
Helen is survived by her sister, Elaine Broderick; her nephews, Mark Broderick and his wife Suzanne, Gary Broderick and his wife Patricia, Dr. Wayne Munson and his wife Rev. Beatrice Manning, PhD, Lee Munson and his wife Ellen, Leslie Munson and his wife Stacey, Dr. Jeffrey Bazarian and his wife Tracey and Stephen Bazarian, Esquire and his wife Laurie and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister, Laura Munson and her brother, Myron Bazarian.
Helen’s family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Center for the care and comfort they provided.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 11:00am at First Congregational Church of Waterbury, 222 West Main Street, Waterbury. Family and friends may call at the Church on Wednesday from 10-11:00am. In lieu of flowers and to honor Helen’s memory, contributions may be made to First Congregational Church of Waterbury, 222 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
