Obituary for Arden Jordan

Arden  Jordan
NAUGATUCK, CT Arden Jordan, 87, the husband of Mary F. (White) Jordan, passed away peacefully Friday, September 4, 2015 at Hartford Hospital.
Mr. Jordan was born on February 27, 1928 in Mapleton, Maine, one of eleven children of the late Willis A. and Emma (Easler) Jordan and had lived in Naugatuck since 1955. Mr. Jordan was a retired employee of the footwear division of Uniroyal, Inc., and he was a World War II, U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his loving wife Mary, Mr. Jordan is survived by his daughter, Rosemary Hughes of Naugatuck; his son Michael Jordan and his wife Marlene of Apollo Beach, FL; his granddaughter, Dawn Andersen-Seaman and her husband Robert of West Simsbury, CT; his grandsons, Steven Jordan and his wife Ruth of Brandon, FL, Gary Hughes and his wife Michelle of Naugatuck and Bert Hughes and his wife Heather of Middlebury, CT; his eleven great-grandchildren, Blair, Shelby, Michael and William Seaman; Isabella and Anna Jordan; Kylie, Kaylynn and Zachary Hughes and Skyler and Cole Hughes; his son-in-law, Thomas Griffin of Wolcott, CT, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Jordan was predeceased by his daughter, Dorothy Griffin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00am at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck, CT. Burial with military honors will follow in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck, CT. Calling hours are Friday, September 11, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Members of the Naugatuck Veteran’s Council will assemble at the funeral home, Friday at 7:30pm. In Arden's memory, to honor his beloved wife, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, CT Chapter, 2075 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
