Obituary for Patrick Valletta

Patrick   Valletta
Naugatuck-Patrick Valletta, 92, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Ann (Martin) Valletta.

Mr. Valletta was born on March 30, 1921 in Waterbury a son of the late Donato Valletta and Josephine (Gugliotti) Valletta. He was retired from the US Postal Service where he worked as a Postal worker for many years and also retired from the CT Army National Guard. He was a WWII Veteran having served in the Navy. Patrick enjoyed drawing cartoons, and was an avid bowler, Gardner and loved to cook.

He is survived by three daughters, Diana Sullivan and her husband Tom of Naugatuck, Donna Valletta of Waterbury and, Patricia Stankevicius of Wolcott, two sons, Larry Valletta and his wife Joan of Naugatuck and Daniel Valletta of Wisconsin. He will also be missed by two grandchildren, Erin Sullivan and Julia Gaouett and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Hanna as well as several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Friends may call at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave, Naugatuck Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m.
